2 weeks agoListen people.... This place is a new discovery for us. Took my fiance here after passing by one night. Loved the food the service and the ambiance was absolutely amazing. Soulful music and Melina,our server was absolutely perfect. We eat at major restaurant chains often and it felt great to get some personalized service for once. We just had a wonderful time. Their bar is great too. I loved that we ordered the two meals and two adult drinks and the check never got close to one hundred dollars. 10 stars out of 5.

3 weeks agoServer was attentive. Food was hot and delicious. Chicken enchiladas were good. I loved that the chicken was moist. Tomatillo sauce was delicious. White Russian drink was very good.

a month agoPlace is big, service was nice. Caldo de mariscos was good A LOT of different seafood. Piña was ok. Made the food a lil sweet. Ensalada was pretty This place was the 1st to serve SWEET Camarones a la diabla. I love spicy 💔

a month agoI ate alone at the bar for lunch. It was a great experience. The staff was genuinely friendly (not the forced kind). The Steak Fajita plate was outstanding. The meat was seasoned well. The pico de gallo was fresh and delicious. I got a duck because I ordered a margarita. Super fun side perk!

4 months agoFood was great! Service was wonderful! They give you chips and salsa while you wait which is awesome. They were very busy and the food did take a while, but it was explained that they were short a cool in the kitchen. But everyone that walked by checked on us including the manager. Nice date night spot, I went with my wife. This will probably be our go to spot if me and my family don't want to go leave out of town. They can accommodate large parties,lots of space. I will be back

5 months agoThis was my first time trying this place. My server was Lola and she was amazing! I tried the guac and queso and both were great. Then I had the tapiqueno plate and while I have had better skirt steak the food was still amazing. The mangorita was really good! Not too sweet! I ordered other things to bring home for the week because when I try a new place, the leftover quality matters to me also so will probably update on that. All in all I would definately recommend this place!

9 months agoThis was our first visit to El Catrin. We had a large party of 30 people who they accommodated quickly. We went here after my dad's viewing at a local funeral home. The wait staff was helpful and friendly. The food came out quickly. Everything tasted good. The chips and salsa were also good. I had the chicken enchiladas, my daughter had the shrimp enchiladas, my eldest daughter had the fajitas catrin, my husband had the burrito tornado, and my eldest daughter's husband had the tamale plate. All the food was hot and tasted fresh. The portion sizes are good as well for the price. We will visit again.

11 months agoQuick food and our server Irving was great. They accidentally put beans in the burrito and when we asked them to take them out, they remade it very quickly and came out piping hot. Skip the queso, it’s nothing special and a very small serving. I wish the tacos had came with Guac. There was a lot on the menu I wanted to try, I’ll be back.
